# Sign-up by using digital wallet

**Step 1**: Launch Monsterra

**Step 2**: Select supported chain on screen

**Step 3**: Select **"Import Wallet"**

**Step 4**: Enter your [Private Key](https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015289632-How-to-export-an-account-s-private-key#:~:text=On%20the%20account%20page%2C%20click,click%20%E2%80%9CConfirm%E2%80%9D%20to%20proceed.) exported from your account.

**Step 5**: Select **"Import Wallet"**

**Step 6**: Create password and verify

**Step 7**: Select **"Confirm"**

**Step 3**: Select "Create Wallet"

**Step 4**: Create password and verify

**Step 5**: Select **"Confirm"**

With wallets created in this way, Monsterra strongly recommends that players [export and store their private keys](/setup-account/sign-up-and-sign-in-mobile-version/update-account-information.md#export-private-key) as soon as possible to avoid losing data and assets, and continue to use this wallet for other purposes.

## Safety & Security

The player's private key when entered will be encrypted using[ the standard method for Web3](https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Web3-Secret-Storage-Definition#scrypt) [specified by Etherium](https://docs.nethereum.com/en/latest/nethereum-creating-key-store/).

Monsterra does not record and store unencrypted private keys and player passwords in any way
